VILLAGE FUND MANAGEMENT IN INCREASING COMMUNITY WELFARE IN KARANG ANYAR VILLAGE, SOUTH LAMPUNG REGENCY

Abstract

This study analyzes the management of Village Funds in Karang Anyar Village, South Lampung Regency, in improving community welfare and examines its compliance with the principles of transparency and accountability under South Lampung Regency Local Regulation Number 4 of 2016. This study complements previous literature by specifically linking village financial governance to the fulfillment of urgent infrastructure needs and local socio-economic impacts. Utilizing an empirical-qualitative approach through interviews, observation, and document analysis, the discussion focuses on stages from budget planning to accountability. The results indicate that Village Fund management has administratively operated in an orderly manner through SISKEUDES, Musrenbangdes, and SPJ verification, positively impacting physical development and social assistance. However, the dissemination of public information remains uneven across 17 remote hamlets, thereby limiting grassroots social oversight. Optimization can be achieved through expanding digital budget publication channels and enhancing the active participation of peripheral residents.
