Abstract
The provision of land for large enough housing development tends to interfere with food agricultural land. In fact, the government is also required to ensure the protection of sustainable agricultural land. The problem that will be discussed in this study is how housing development policies can be aligned with the protection of sustainable food agricultural land. The research method used in this study is a normative research method using statute approach, case approach and comparative approach related to housing development policies in relation to the protection of sustainable food agricultural land. The results of the study show that urban sprawl greatly affects and Sustainable Food Agricultural Land to build housing. Therefore, a housing development policy with the vertical dweling method is needed, especially in urban areas or in urban areas to create a balance.
