Abstract

Trademarks are included in the category of intellectual property that has significant economic value and requires legal protection. According to Law Number 20 of 2016 concerning Trademarks and Geographical Indications, trademark protection is not absolute and can be revoked under certain conditions. Revocation can be carried out by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property through administrative procedures or at the request of a third party for certain reasons, such as if the trademark has not been used for three consecutive years or violates applicable laws and regulations. This procedure serves as a control tool to ensure that trademark rights are actively used and not misused. Therefore, trademark revocation is an important contribution to maintaining legal certainty and ensuring balanced trademark protection in Indonesia.
