About the Journal

Lampung Journal of Administrative Law deals with current and most important issues of administrative law. This journal aims to facilitate scientific work on the latest theoretical and practical aspects of administrative law and several scientific branches related to the development of administrative law. The periodical publishes scientific articles, glosses, polemics, reviews and information about the legal scientific movement in Indonesia and abroad. The Lampung Journal of Administrative Law is primarily addressed to the representatives of administrative law doctrine, persons performing legal professions, legislators, administration employees and entrepreneurs.

Focus and scope

The Administrative Law Journal is a scientific publication focused on theoretical and practical studies in the field of Administrative Law. Its scope includes analysis of the theory and principles of administrative law, government policies and regulations, the authority and functions of state institutions, government actions, and the rights and obligations of citizens in administrative relations. Furthermore, the journal highlights the accountability of public officials, the resolution of administrative disputes through judicial and non-litigation mechanisms, as well as contemporary developments such as government digitalization, bureaucratic reform, good governance, and comparative administrative law across countries. With this scope, the journal is expected to become a forum for the development of thought, criticism, and innovation in the field of administrative law, both at the national and international levels.

Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to the Lampung Journal of Administrative Law undergoes a substance review and similarity check, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to maintain objectivity.

  1. Editorial Screening
    The editor conducts an initial assessment regarding the article’s alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, originality, and compliance with author guidelines.
    At this stage, a similarity check is also performed using plagiarism detection software. Articles with a high level of similarity may be immediately rejected or returned to the author for revision.
  2. Peer Review
    Articles that pass the initial screening are forwarded to reviewers.
    Reviewers evaluate the novelty, analytical depth, theoretical foundation, methodology, consistency of arguments, and the article’s contribution to the development of administrative law scholarship.
    The similarity check results are also considered in the reviewer’s recommendation on the manuscript’s eligibility.
  3. Review Result
    Reviewers provide recommendations in the form of: acceptance without revision, acceptance with minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
    The editor combines the reviewers’ recommendations with the similarity check results to make the final decision on the manuscript.
  4. Revision Process
    Authors are given the opportunity to revise their articles according to the reviewers’ feedback and similarity check evaluation within a specified timeframe.
  5. Final Decision
    The editor conducts a final evaluation of the revised manuscript to determine its eligibility for publication.
  6. Copyediting & Proofreading
    Accepted articles undergo language editing, formatting, and layout adjustments prior to publication.

Frequency

The Lampung Journal of Administrative Law publishes three issues in a year.
