Abstract

Legal certainty plays a crucial role in supporting the development and sustainability of Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) in Indonesia. This research demonstrates that clear regulations and consistent implementation provide legal protection for UMKM, thereby encouraging business growth and increasing competitiveness. However, challenges remain, such as low legal literacy, licensing barriers, and intellectual property rights issues, which hinder the sustainability of UMKM. Collaboration between the government and UMKM is key to creating a conducive and legally protected business environment. The implications of this research are the need to strengthen regulations, promote legal awareness, and empower UMKM to contribute more significantly to the national economy.
